on june 25, in the track laying base of marebaya port of guinea maxi railway, zhang cheng, general manager of simandou railway company of the winning union, pressed the start button of the intelligent fixed flash welding machine, and africa's first intelligent welding rail production line using china's advanced railway welding technology was officially put into operation. this milestone not only highlights the scientific and technological strength of china railway first bureau in overseas railway construction, but also marks the in-depth application of chinese standards and technologies in the process of railway modernization in africa.

the production line adopts automatic equipment such as un5-150g1 fixed flash welding machine and gdzh-120 rail heat treatment machine to realize the industrial and intelligent rail welding. in the 289.14km track laying task undertaken by china railway first bureau, the welding rail line will efficiently complete the welding of about 22,000 joints, greatly reducing the welding workload on the site, and improving the quality and efficiency of welding.

since may 9, the project department has overcome many difficulties and rapidly promoted the construction of the production line, laying a solid foundation for the acceleration of the track construction of maxi railway. the operation of the intelligent rail welding production line is a vivid manifestation of the deepening of china-africa cooperation under the "belt and road" initiative, and also an important milestone of chinese technology and standards in the modernization of african railways.
