on the afternoon of june 19, li qiang and malaysian prime minister anwar anwar jointly attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the goose mark station of maeast coast railway project. li qiang said that the east coast railway, a flagship project of china-malaysia belt and road cooperation, will be built into a safe and reliable high-quality project, which will not only promote economic development and create jobs, but also benefit people's livelihood.

it’s one of the four major capital stations of the east coast railway constructed by cccc group. with a length of 665km, the railway project is the largest transport infrastructure project undertaken by a chinese company overseas. cccc group leaders and the project team attended the groundbreaking ceremony and reported the progress of the project.

the groundbreaking marks the deepening cooperation between china and malaysia to jointly promote the construction of the belt and road initiative, enhance regional connectivity and help build the asean community.
