recent progress has been made in the rail welding project of the bishan-tongnan line in chongqing. in a 36.25-km section from tongliang west to dalu, 2,900 welds were successfully completed with zero defects. this achievement was significantly attributed to the application of a new welding machine and a dual-frequency electric normalizing machine. the new welding machine, which uses a three-phase input and single-phase output power electronic converter, substantially reduced diesel consumption and environmental pollution during the welding process while improving welding quality and construction efficiency. the dual-frequency electric normalizing machine, through automated temperature control and dual-frequency heating, enhanced the reliability of the welded joints and the quality of the weld seams. these technological applications not only showcased the environmental advantages of the welding equipment but also provided robust technical support for safety and efficiency in urban rail transit construction .
